With an emphasis on the fleeting effects of light, these paintings capture everyday moments observed and translated into familiar landscapes that invite connection with natural places and awaken memories of personal experience.
This series of paintings are rooted in the understated beauty of the prairie landscape during seasons of transition. Subtle shifts of colour, light, and tone reveal a quiet richness within familiar places, transforming overlooked views into contemplative spaces. As the work evolved, the landscape became a metaphor for life's journey—those periods of uncertainty, endurance, and waiting, sustained by moments of beauty, hope, and renewal discovered along the way.
