These paintings begin with a visual memory—a fleeting impression, a remembered arrangement of forms, or the lingering atmosphere of a moment. Rather than recording what was seen, I am interested in what remains: the feeling, the mood, and the traces that memory leaves behind.
Working intuitively with colour, pattern, and layered marks, I allow recognizable forms to emerge and recede, creating a dialogue between representation and abstraction. The resulting images exist in a space between remembering and forgetting, inviting personal interpretation and discovery.
Each painting explores the connection between memory and perception, the familiar and the elusive. My hope is that these works evoke a sense of painterly déjà vu—a feeling of recognition that cannot be fully explained, yet resonates on an emotional level.
