ART Calendar featuring NEST SERIES of paintings
 
I have selected images from my nest series for this new calendar design. This calendar has a larger image area for more impact on the wall and a minimal calendar area.
 
Paintings featuring the nest motif became a regular part of my art practice during a time of upheaval and change. Each painting became an emotive and personal expression of a particular ‘season’. With this series of painting I did alot of experimenting with texture to add drama and surface interest, and used colour and brush work to create atmospheric effects. In the tradition of the historic still life genre, they speak to notions of strength and fragility, abundance and scarcity.
